Just came across your blog; it is very interesting.

It seems to me that governments need to start providing cisterns (water barrels) to the general public. This would greatly reduce water use and prevent the mass diversion of water. At what cost, environmental and monetary, would this diversion entail?

These are things that I feel need to be asked. Common sense tells me that water barrels would be a much better choice.
